The Big One!!

That expression tells it all :)

What the heck is this thing?
(Ah, the things we do to our children...)

Since we moved a good distance from any family and had not been here long enough to have made any friends, we had a Skype Birthday Party! We were able to get my parents on my computer and Jared's parents on his. Unfortunately my mom had to work and was unable to "make it." Just getting the computers set up here.

BALLOONS!
He loves to play with these! Good thing I have extras.

CAKE TIME!
The second he saw the cake (aka food) he did not hesitate.

Look Mom! No Hands!

Our child loves food. He will eat about 95% of whatever we put in front of him.
Because of this I was hoping for some awesome cake shots, but I did not know it would be this good.....enjoy!

Saying "hi" to the grandparents!

All clean and playing in his new tent that he loves!

I am really bad about remembering or writing down the different stats at his doctor appointments. This is all I hear anyway :)

1 Year Stats
Height = little above average
Weight = little below average
Head = really big

You get the idea.

I really don't think I can express how much I love this little guy. He is such a delight and brings a smile to our faces often....and to others :)
He is a social little thing (wonder who he gets that from) and will go to just about anyone.....especially if you have his blanket or food to share.
He is a smart kid and I love watching the wheels turn in his head to make the outcome work in his favor.
Right now he loves his stacking bathtub cups. He could sit there for hours taking them apart and putting them back together....and he does it in the right order!
He has the cutest/funniest little giggle. I will have to get it on video one of these days. He usually does it when you ask him if he wants a banana....another favorite thing.
When we put him in a shopping cart he eventually will bring on of his legs up and turn sideways with one arm sitting on the backrest. "Pretty fly for a white guy...." :P
Of course anything round....from a tennis ball, to balloon, to a large exercise ball....are great fun!
He is getting to the point where he wants to be outside. Especially since discovering we have a nice "rock garden" not too far outside our door.
I love when I get home in the mornings (if he is awake), or when I wake up in the afternoon, and he sees me and runs to me with his arm outstretched and a smile on his face.

Momma and Daddy love you Jamison!
Happy 1st Birthday!!

**Side note: does anyone out there have the capability of making a crocheted blanket? We have a couple that he loves, but they are bulky for dragging around the house. It would be nice to have a smaller one. Oh, and I would pay you to do it :) **

PSS - another new post below!
